We operate from the beautiful unspoilt fishing village of Kilbaha, on the Loop Head Peninsula and ”Wild Atlantic Way” where the Shannon Estuary meets the mighty Atlantic Ocean. The fishing grounds are right on our doorstep. A great day out for all.

Skipper Séan Maguire is a local man born and reared in West Clare on the Loop Head Peninsula. Séan started Sea Angling in 1999 after many years commercial fishing. He commercially fished from Kilkee and Kilbaha so the coastline and fishing spots on the Loop Head Peninsula are well known to him. Séan has all the relevant licenses for Sea Angling, safety, and the carriage of passengers.

Depending on the time of year, we fish for Pollock, Atlantic Cod, Mackerel, Skate, Blue Shark, Tope.

If it so happens that the weather is not suitable for fishing the Atlantic Ocean we have the option of heading back up the Shannon Estuary to fish with the boat at anchor. It can be a very leisurely and enjoyable experience to fish for tope, conger, bull huss, ray etc, using mackerel squid or other bait. Some people prefer this more relaxed type of fishing. We cater to your preference.

We also work with families, stag and hen parties, school trips, or any other groups that might like to take a day out of their busy schedule and get away from it all to do a spot of fishing or sight seeing.

Fishing Adventures operates a Lochin 333 fast workboat for Sea Angling the Isle of Aran from Kilbaha. She is a heavily built sturdy boat with ample deck space and seating for up to 12 anglers with plenty of room for fishing gear and of course your catch. She also has a big supply of fishing gear, rods and reels, hooks, rigs, feathers, shark and tope traces, leads, etc, and a toilet. The Isle of Aran is a 10m GRP Lochin with twin Cummins engines. Trips are for 6 people (extra charge for additional fisher men/women). Maximum number of anglers – 12.

As well as this, we operate a Lochin 33 fast workboat for sea angling.

When booking, add a note to your order stating which excursion you require – 9am or 1pm.

Please bring warm clothing and a light snack.

For your safety and the safety of everyone on board, the skipper is in full charge of the vessel at all times. All guests must follow the skipper’s instructions without exception. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in the immediate termination of the trip, with no refund provided.
